Hundreds of Senior Citizens enjoyed free medical, dental and optical consultations given by the City Government.
All beneficiaries came from the 40 different barangays of the city.
“The free medical, dental and optical outreach program is one of the lined up activities in the celebration of the Senior Citizens week that begun yesterday.”, Mrs. Milagrita Valdevieso Head of the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs said.
Most of those served are indigent senior citizens that were identified by their barangay officials who need immediate medical, dental and optical care.
The activity was a joint sponsorship between the City Government and the With Love Jan Foundation Incorporated.
Among the services offered during the outreach program are: medical, dental and optical check-ups, free eyeglasses, laboratory and medicines.
Also, free anti influenza and pneumonia vaccines were administered to the patients to help safeguard them against diseases.
The City Government has tapped the services of physicians and dentists from the Department of Health and private clinics for the activity.
