PANSAMANTALA munang pai-ikliin ng Comelec ang oras ng Voter Registration sa buong bansa simula March 22, 2021 hanggang April 4, 2021.

Alinsunod ito sa Memorandum Circular number 85 s. 2021 na inisyu ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, kung saan ay pinaaga ang pagsasara ng voter registration at pagpapaliban sa mga satellite registration sa buong bansa dahil na rin sa pagtaas muli ng kaso ng Covid19.

Simula March 22, tatanggap ng mga magpaparehistrong botante ang Comelec mula alas otso ng umaga hanggang alas tres ng hapon mga araw ng Lunes hanggang Huwebes.

Hanggang alas singko naman ng hapon ang pagbibigay ng voter certification sa mga nabanggit na araw na bukas ang Comelec.

Sarado ang lahat ng tanggapan ng Comelec sa araw ng Biyernes para sa disinfection at pati na rin sa weekends.

Hindi rin muna gagawin ang voter satellite registration sa mga barangay hall, day care centers at ilang pampublikong lugar alinsunod sa kautusan ng ahensya.

Pinapayuhan naman ng Comelec yaong mga nagpa book na ng kanilang registration sa mga araw na sarado ang mga opisina nito na makipag-ugnayan sa mga local election officers upang mabigyan ng bagong schedule sa pagpapatala.

Sa Kidapawan City, pinapayuhan pa rin ang lahat na sumunod sa mga minimum health protocols gaya ng pagsusuot ng face mask at face shields, thermal scanning, pagdadala ng CCTS QR Code, pagdadala ng sariling ballpen at thermal scanning kapag papasok sa tanggapan ng City Comelec.

Magtatagal hanggang September 30, 2021 ang kasalukuyang voter registration para sa gaganaping National and Local Election sa buwan ng Mayo 2022. ##(CIO)

PINANGUNAHAN NI City Mayor Joseph Evangelista ang pamimigay ng ayuda sa mga vendors ng Mega Market na lubhang naapektuhan ng Covid19 pandemic.

Nagmula ang ayuda sa pondo ni Senator Christopher Lawrence ‘BONG’ Go na kanyang ipinadaan sa DSWD para matulungan ang mga maliliit na vendors ng Pamilihang Bayan na makaagapay at makatawid sa panahon ng krisis.

Sa isang video message ng senador, pinasalamatan niya sina Mayor Evangelista, city officials at ang mismong CSWDO ng lungsod na lumapit at nakipagtulungan sa kanyang tanggapan para mabigyan ng tulong ang mga vendors.

Hinikayat ng butihing senador ang mga beneficiaries na linangin ang kanilang kaalaman sa pagnenegosyo sa pamamagitan ng pagdulog sa mga tanggapan ng gobyerno gaya ng DSWD, Department of Trade and Industry, TESDA, at Department of Agriculture dahil may inilaang pondo si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte para mabigyan ng kabuhayan ang mga mahihirap na mamamayan.

Nagtayo rin ng Malasakit Centers ang Pamahalaan sa ilang pampublikong ospital para makatulong na mabawasan ang bayarin sa pagpapagamot ng mga mahihirap na magkakasakit, pagbubunyag pa ni Senator Go.

Mahigit sa isandaang vendors ng Mega Market na dumaan sa validation ng DSWD ang tumanggap ng tig Php 3,000 na tulong pinansyal.

Maliban dito ay tumanggap din ng bigas, grocery items at multivitamins ang mga vendor beneficiaries.

May pa-raffle din na ginawa ang staff ni Senator Go kung saan ay namigay sila ng bisikleta, tablet at mga pares ng sapatos.

Ang pamimigay ng ayuda ay pauna lamang sa target na 900 beneficiaries sa lungsod na sakop ng programa.

Magtatagal hanggang sa March 19, 2021 ang pamimigay ng katulad na ayuda mula kay Senator Go.

Isinagawa ang pamimigay ng tulong pinansyal umaga ng March 17, 2021 sa amphitheater ng Kidapawan Pilot Elementary School. ##(CIO)

ABOT LANGIT na pasasalamat ang pinaa-abot ng dalawang Kidapawenyang Overseas Filipino na natulungan ni City Mayor Joseph Evangelista na makauwi sa lungsod matapos ang masaklap na karanasang sinapit sa pagta-trabaho sa ibang bansa.

Personal na nagpasalamat sina Daylin Havana ng Barangay Mateo at Nelba Desabille ng Barangay Sibawan kay Mayor Evangelista umaga ng March 16, 2021 sa City Hall.

Kapwa nagpasaklolo ang kapatid ni Daylin at ang mister at anak ni Nelba kay Mayor Evangelista para sa agarang pag-uwi ng kanilang kaanak pabalik ng Pilipinas.

Nagtrabaho bilang mga household workers sina Daylin at Nelba sa Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Anim na buwan matapos ang kanyang kontrata bago nakauwi si Daylin kung saan ay inilipat siya ng kanyang employer sa kamag-anak nito mula Riyadh patungong Jeddah.

Wala siyang tinanggap na sweldo sa mahabang panahon at ang masaklap pa nito ay nagkataong nangyari ang Covid19 pandemic at nagpatupad ng lockdown sa bansang kanyang pinagtrabahuan.

Habang si Nelba naman ay na-stroke sa panahon ng kanyang pagta-trabaho sa Riyadh.

Buti na lang at nagkataong isang duktor ang kanyang among Arabo at ito na mismo ang nagpagamot sa kanya sa ospital.

Agad inutusan ng alkalde si Ms. Aida Labina – ang Focal Person ng mga OF concerns ng City Government na makipag-ugnayan at kulitin ang recruitment agency, OWWA at mga Philippine Embassy officials sa Saudi Arabia para agad makauwi ang mga nabanggit na distressed Kidapawenya.

Nagpa-abot din ng cash assistance si Mayor Evangelista kina Daylin at Nelba na magagamit nila bilang pantawid sa kasalukuyan.

Sila ay ilan lamang sa mga distressed Overseas Workers na dumanas ng labis-labis na hirap sa pangingibang bansa sa layuning mabigyan ng magandang buhay ang pamilya na natulungang makauwi ng City Government. ##(CIO)

Inoculations against the Corona Virus disease (Covid-19) were conducted in the city today March 8, 2021 right after the arrival of Sinovac vaccines as per advisory from the Department of Health (DOH).

Some 137 medical front liners from Kidapawan City Hospital, where the biggest Covid-19 facility is situated, started receiving the vaccines, making them part of the first batch of medical front liners in four hospitals located in the Province of Cotabato to be inoculated as first priority among the sectors targeted for vaccination.

Dr. Hamir Hechanova, Chief of Kidapawan City Hospital was the first to receive the initial dose of the vaccines past 10 A.M. in Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (NDKC) amid optimism and cheers from his fellow front liners.

Dr. Hechanova said that except for a minor pain in the vaccinated part, he felt good overall after getting his first dose of the Sinovac vaccine and expressed his optimism that the activity will be successfully carried out in the next few days where a total of 137 medical front liners will be inoculated.

“I do not feel any adverse reaction after the vaccination. I am hoping that all our front liners will eventually get vaccinated and become protected against Covid-19” said Dr. Hechanova

He urged the public to trust the process and get vaccinated when the supply of Sinovac or any other Covid-19 vaccines arrive in the city. “This the most essential way to be protected from the virus, and in fact the only way to end Covid-19. 

He finally underlined the importance of the vaccine for Covid-19 stating that the best vaccine is the available vaccine whether it be Sinovac, Astra Zeneca or any other brand of Covid-19 vaccine. 

After Dr. Hechanova, other medical practitioners from the Kidapawan City Hospital were also inoculated and these include Dr. Brylle Catague, Dr. Jennifer Reyes, and Dr. Jazel Lanoza.

The historic vaccination of medical front liners in Kidapawan City Hospital were administered by Kristine Corias and Jerry Macion, trained nurses from the city vaccination team.

The second dose of Covid-19 Sinovac vaccines will be administered to the front liners after 28 days, a period enough to monitor late side-effects, if any.

Kidapawan City has a total of 3,840 medical front liners to be vaccinated. This will be followed by others in the priority list or in the guidelines of the National Inter Agency Task Force for Covid-19 (NIATF) and the DOH. 

For his part, Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph said that this day is very important as the roll out of vaccines commences. He expressed his gratitude to all the stakeholders who supported the city’s local vaccination rollout plan, the first-ever in the Province of Cotabato.

“This is the moment we’ve been waiting for; the actual inoculation of our medical front liners and I hope we can push through with the other eligible individuals and eventually attain a herd immunity”, said the mayor.

Mayor Evangelista said the inoculation of medical front liners is historic and said that this day will be remembered as the day of victory for the people of Kidapawan.  He further said he is more than willing to be vaccinated by Sinovac or any other available vaccine for Covid-19 but has to wait for the schedule set for local officials like him.

Kidapawan City Legal Officer Atty. Pao Evangelista said the City Government has been looking forward for the day the vaccine will come and start with the mass roll out plan and is so glad it is actually happening already.

Atty. Evangelista monitored the vaccination roll out right from the start and was happy to note that everything was in order and the system was followed thoroughly.

“We are doing good and all indications say that the vaccine roll out in the city is alright and this is the result of proper coordination among offices and concerned agencies”, said Atty. Evangelista.

The vaccinees had undergone the vaccination protocol – summed up in 7 steps. First, the minimum health standards and temperature check;  second, checking of vaccinee’s pertinent details and QR code scan; third, watch video presentation and reading of educational materials and signing of informed consent; fourth, vital signs and history taking, assessment by a physician; fifth, checking of pertinent documents and QR code and actual vaccination; sixth, submission of data to collection officer, information sheet to monitoring nurse and observation of the vaccinee for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour; and seventh; taking of pictures and use of hash tags for social media posts.

Dr. Rubelita Aggalut, Development Management Officer V, Center for Health Development DOH 12, also expressed much elation with the activity. “I am personally happy to see this thing (vaccination) is finally happening here in the City of Kidapawan, the health department is very optimistic that the inoculation of the medical front liners from the city hospital will be highly successful.

Kidapawan City Health Officer Dr. Jocelyn Incienzo, City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit Operations Officer Dr. Nerissa Paalan, Kidapawan City Councilor and Chair of Committee on Health  Marites Malaluan and other City Councilors witnessed the event with much elation.

Aside from the Kidapawan City Hospital, front liners from three other hospitals with Covid-19 facilities also conducted the same activity today. KIDAPAWAN CITY (March 3, 2021) – The City Government of Kidapawan utilized close to P8M funds for the installation of street lights and other improvements in the Center Islands, Quezon Boulevard in Barangay Poblacion and in other villages that need street lighting system.

In its 2020 Accomplishment Report, the City Government’s Task Force Kahayag a group of personnel coming from different offices or department of the City Government assigned to facilitate the street lighting projects, informed that the total of LED luminaires installed is 440.

Engr. Francisco Tanaid, Head of Task Force Kahayag, further informed that from this total, 49 LED lights (110 watts) were installed in the opposite lanes of the Center islands, 92 LED lights (70 watts) in the Barangays of San Roque,Gayola, San Isidro, New Bohol, Linangkob, Sto. Nino, Sumbac, Macebolig, and Onica; and 120 (60 watts) in the Barangays of Kalaisan, Sudapin, Mua-an, Nuangan, and New Bohol. In addition, some 158 additional LED lights (70 watts) were installed in other barangays as part of the completion of the street lighting project of the City Government of Kidapawan, according to the task force.

Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista said the installation of street lights in the Center islands and different villages is for the safety and security of the residents and the fulfillment of his administration’s mandate to provide lighting system not only in the center of the city but including far-flung villages.

“Most of the crimes and accidents happen in the dark parts of the highway and other main roads but with the streets now illuminated, these can be deterred or avoided”, said Mayor Evangelista. “This is also to prove to our constituents our commitment to serve and uplift their living conditions and that government funds are utilized properly.

The P8M street lighting project was funded through the 20% Economic Development Fund (EDF), City Aid to the Barangays, and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)Performance Challenge Fund received by the City Government of Kidapawan for being awarded the Seal of Local Governance (SGLG) for four consecutive years. 

The Energy Development Corporation (EDC) and the Cotabato Electric Company (COTELCO) provide support to this project in terms of technical and other form of assistance.  (CIO_AJPME/jscj)

KIDAPAWAN CITY (FEB. 23, 2021) – UPANG matugunan ang kakulangan ng supply ng karneng baboy sa palengke ay kailangang dumami ang mga alagang baboy ng mga hog raisers sa Kidapawan City.

Ito ang pahayag ni Kidapawan City Veterinarian II Dr. Ellaine Mahusay kasabay ng isinagawang turn-over ceremony ng “AI sa Barangay” project sa Multiplier Farm, Barangay Kalaisan ng lungsod kaninang umaga.

Sinabi ni Dr. Mahusay na sa pamamagitan ng AI ay mas magiging produktibo ang mga hog raisers dahil mas ligtas sa sakit ang alagang baboy at mas ligtas ang mga ito sa injury habang lumalaki. Dahil raw ito sa kalidad na semilya ng baboy na ginagamit sa AI at iba pang kagandahang dulot ng AI sa mga baboy.

Kaugnay nito,  mahigit sampung mga alagang baboy naman ang agad na sumailalim sa ceremonial AI matapos lamang ang ribbon cutting ng bagong pig pen sa lugar.

Nagbigay naman ng kani-kanilang mensahe ang mga dumalong opisyal kabilang sina ATI-12 Center Director Abdul Daya-an, ATI-12 Livestock and Project Officer Shirley Baldia, Councilor Peter Salac, Chairperson ng Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Agriculture, Provincial Veterinarian Rufino Sorupia, City Veterinarian Dr. Eugene Gornez at iba pa.

Masusundan pa ang pagsagawa ng AI sa mga baboy at ang makikinabang dito ay ang mga maliliit na hog raisers at maging ang mga Barangay Animal Health Workers na nag-aalaga ng baboy ay makikinabang din.

Naniniwala ang DA ATI-12 na sa pamamagitan ng naturang proyekto ay sisiglang muli ang hog raising sa Kidapawan matapos na naapektuhan ng African Swine Fever o ASF ang lungsod nitong nakalipas na mga buwan.

Ikinatuwa naman ni Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph Evangelista ang pagsasakatuparan ng AI project dahil alinsunod ito sa hangarin ng City Government na tulungan ang mga magsasaka na makabangon sa hagupit ng Covid19 pandemic sa pamamagitan ng mga makabuluhang proyekto. 

Pinasalamatan niya ang Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute sa pagtitiwala nito sa City Government sa pamamagitan ng matibay na koordinasyon at suporta sa mga hakbang para maiangat pa ang agrikultura sa Lungsod ng Kidapawan.

KIDAPAWAN CITY – MAY KALAKIP NG MGA STORAGE FACILITIES ang paghahandang ginagawa ng City Government sa pinaplanong Vaccination Roll Out Plan kontra Covid19.

Ipinakita mismo ni City Mayor Joseph Evangelista ang mga refrigerated vans na paglalagyan ng mga bakuna na pangontra sa pagkalat ng sakit kay Cotabato Governor Nancy Catamco umaga ng February 16, 2021.

Una ng ipinaliwanag ng alkalde sa gobernadora ang Vaccination Roll Out Plan ng City Government sa pamamagitan ng isang Power Point Presentation, kung saan ay nakasaad dito ang pagpapabakuna sa mamamayan ng lungsod alinsunod sa kautusan ng DOH at National IATF.

Mahalaga ang pagkakaroon ng angkop na storage facility dahil gagamitin ito sa pagbabyahe ng mga bakuna mula sa DOH patungong Kidapawan City, ayon pa kay Mayor Evangelista.

Tinatayang nasa -20 hanggang -25 degrees Celsius ang lamig sa loob ng refrigerated van upang mapanatili ang bisa at maging epektibo ang bakuna para sa matuturukan nito.

Nakalagay na ang mga refrigerated van sa isang tago at secured na lugar sa lungsod sa kasalukuyan at nakahanda na sakaling dumating na ang mga bakuna mula sa Department of Health at pharmaceutical company na magsu-suply ng mga ito.

Tanging Kidapawan City pa lamang ang nakapaghanda ng Covid19 Vaccination Roll Out Plan sa buong lalawigan ng Cotabato, ayon pa kay Governor Catamco.

Hinikayat niya ang iba pang Local Government Units sa buong probinsya na maghanda na rin ng kani-kanilang vaccination roll out plan.

Pangunahing rekisito ang Vaccination Roll Out Plan para makapirma sa isang Tripartite Agreement ang LGU sa DOH/National IATF at Pharmaceutical Company bago ang pagbili ng bakuna. Umaasa ang City Government na mapapabilis na ang proseso sa pagpirma nito sa Tripartite Agreement para magkaroon na ng anti Covid19 vaccines sa lalong madaling panahon.##(CIO)

Inilahad ni City Mayor Joseph Evangelista ang mga nilalaman ng Mass Vaccination Roll Out Plan ng City Government na ipatutupad kapag dumating na ang bakuna na mula sa DOH at sa pharmaceutical company na magsusuply nito.

Ginawa ng alkalde ang kanyang Power Point presentation sa harap pa mismo ni Cotabato Governor Nancy Catamco umaga ng February 16, 2021 sa City Convention Center.

Nakasunod ang Vaccination Roll Out Plan ng lungsod sa itinatakda mismo ng Department of Health para mabakunahan na ang maraming Pilipino laban sa Covid19, pagtitiyak pa ng alkalde.

Una ng inilabas ni Mayor Evangelista ang Executive Order number 006 s. 2021 na siyang bumubuo ng Roll Out Task Force ng City Government na mangangasiwa sa pagpapatupad ng mass vaccination.

Dadaan sa masusing counselling, medical check-up at screening ang sino mang mabibigyan ng bakuna para na rin sa kanilang kaligtasan at maiwasan ang ano mang allergic reaction o di kaya ay komplikasyong dulot ng bakuna.

Magtatalaga ng Vaccination Hub ang City Government sa sentro ng Kidapawan City kung saan ay doon gagawin ang vaccination: Kidapawan City Pilot Elementary School, Kidapawan National High School, Notre Dame of Kidapawan College, St Mary’s Academy, Kidapawan Doctors College at mga pribadong ospital.

Katunayan ay naka cluster na ang mga barangay na bibigyan ng bakuna sa mga vaccination hubs na itinalaga ng City Government.

Magsasagawa ng massive information drive ang City Government upang hikayatin ang lahat na magpabakuna kontra Covid19.

Pinuri naman ng gobernadora ang inisyatibo ni Mayor Evangelista dahil na rin sa tanging Kidapawan City pa lang ang may nakahandang roll out plan sa mass vaccination kontra Covid19 sa buong lalawigan ng Cotabato.

Nagbigay naman ng katiyakan si Gov. Catamco na suportado ng Provincial Government ang nabanggit na inisyatibo ng City Government at magbibigay din ito ng tulong sa pagpapatupad ng mass vaccination.

Nagsagawa naman ng ‘simulation exercise’ ang dalawang opisyal sa kung papano sila mabibigyan ng bakuna mula sa DOH sa KCPES Covid19 Vaccination Hub matapos ang presentasyon na ginawa ng alkalde. ##(CIO)

Kidapawan City (February 10, 2021) – Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista is awarded the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Presidential Lingkod Bayan Regional Award for 2020.

CSC 12 Assistant Regional Director Atty. Venus O. Bumanlag presented the plaque to Mayor Evangelista with the presence of CSC Cotabato Field Office Head Glenda F. Lasaga along with some key personnel at the simple awarding ceremony held at the Conference Room of the City Hall this morning.

 “This award is for all the men and women of the City Government and the constituents of Kidapawan” Mayor Evangelista said upon receiving the award. He thanked everyone who has extended help and support to the programs and projects of the city government which made it more meaningful and life-changing.

Mayor Evangelista, in his message of thanks, emphasized the significance of inspiring and motivating government employees to give their best in serving the constituents and to build unity and solidarity among government workers and most especially uphold public trust and confidence. 

ARD Bumanlag said that being a service-oriented, innovative, visionary and inspirational leader are some of the attributes of Mayor Evangelista that made him an outstanding public servant, thus, the CSC cited him as one of the Presidential Lingkod Bayani (PLB) Regional Awardees.

She said that notably, the City Government of Kidapawan has been a recipient of different awards and recognitions from various national government agencies such as the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and other offices because of the notable performance rendered by Mayor Evangelista and other local officials and for meeting or even surpassing the criteria or set of standards.

The PLB award is one of the three prestigious awards given by the CSC to government officials with exemplary performances. The other two are the CSC Pagasa Awards and Dangal ng Bayan Awards.

The 121st Anniversary of the CSC this year is highlighted by the PLB awards which aims to institutionalize excellence in public service and to give due recognition to deserving public servants.

Mayor Evangelista’s almost 9-year term as Local Chief Executive has brought development in Kidapawan City in terms of economy, peace and order, and health and social stability. Aside from this, the City Government continue to implement noteworthy programs and projects inclined to uplift the living conditions of the people especially in this time of Covid-19 pandemic. Kidapawan City (February 9, 2021) – The continuing effort of the Kidapawan City Government to encourage the business sector in applying and securing their business licenses and permits on time has yielded affirmative results.

Kidapawan City Legal Officer and Acting Information Officer Atty. Paolo M. Evangelista said the City Business Licensing and Processing Office (CBLPO) has now issued some 2,421 business licenses and permits to various small, medium, and large enterprises and other business establishments in the city.  

“This is attributable to the endeavor of the City Government to provide assistance to the business sector by carefully identifying their needs especially when it comes to business requirements such as the implementation of the Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) every January of each year” said Atty. Evangelista

“Through the BOSS, business owners or their representatives availed of the simplified processing of their documents whether it be application of new business licenses or renewal for existing establishments.” Atty Evangelista further said.

Moreover, government agencies and offices that issues clearances and permits and even certifications and authorizations such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Department of Trade and industry (DTI), Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) along with the concerned offices of the City Government such as the CBPLO, City Health Office and others set up their desks at the City Hall grounds to streamline the flow and ease the issuance of required documents.

Business owners who have yet to comply with the requirements are being assisted by the respected offices of the City Government as well as the national line agencies. Those who are to renew their documents will simply have to follow several steps with the help of the assigned or designated government representatives up to the final step which is the issuance of the business permit or license.

For his part, Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A, Evangelista said his administration only aims to promote a business-friendly environment in the city by simplifying the process of registering or renewing a business through an effective collaboration with concerned government agencies and eventually boost the confidence of investors in the city.

He also thanked the business proprietors and representatives for strictly following the required minimum health protocols such as wearing of face masks and face shields, body temperature check, disinfection, and physical distancing during the month-long implementation of BOSS.    

For numerous years already, the City Government of Kidapawan has extensively implemented BOSS giving clients the opportunity to complete their documents and other pertinent papers in a particular location and a period of one or two days only instead of going to different offices which entails long period of transaction.
