Medical physicians from Kidapawan City to gain from sharing of best practices with Korean counterparts through webinar
KIDAPAWAN CITY, April 5, 2021 – Medical doctors based in Kidapawan City engage in a session with counterparts from South Korea in the Public Health and Services Improvement webinar at the Convention Hall, Kidapawan City from April 5-9, 2021.
The activity aims to help physicians and other front liners to gain more knowledge from the International Urban Training Center in Gangwin Province of the Republic of South Korea in reducing risks of death from non-communicable disease, other emerging and re-emerging infections, environmental threats and most importantly in fighting the Covid-19 disease.
City Health Officer Dr. Jocelyn Encienzo informed that the 5-day webinar will provide more skills and enhance the capability of local doctors to address medical and health concerns amid the health crisis brought by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“This is a very timely seminar, with relatively new learnings and adoption of best practices from our medical counterparts in South Korea”, said Dr. Encienzo as she thanked Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista for his directive to organize the webinar which encompasses both government and private doctors.
For his part, Mayor Evangelista said his administration will take every opportunity to help front liners improve their capacities and in the long run learn how to apply new strategies in medical and health in the new normal way of living.
Mayor Evangelista himself had gone to South Korea in previous years and successfully attended environmental seminars and applied the learnings and best practices here in Kidapawan City particularly in waste or garbage disposal and protection of the environment.
Through the CHO and the City Tourism Office, he earlier tapped the members of the North Cotabato Medical Society to engage with the activity realizing it as a highly essential action to further improve the campaign against Covid-19 and other health issues and concerns.
“We will not let up in looking for ways to help our front liners especially now that there is again an emerging high cases of Covid-19 and new variants of Covid in NCR, we are constantly doing proactive measures so as not to experience the same situation”, the City Mayor stressed.
Each day, the seminar provides and discusses some topics focused on gaining fact-based understanding or insights as the protection, detection, treatment and other significant new ideas.
Gillian Ray T. Lonzaga, City Tourism Operations Officer said the webinar provides a lot of help to the participating doctors who at present have enormous responsibilities in the treatment and monitoring of sick patients specially those infected with the Covid-19 virus.
“We are one with them (front liners) in advocating a Covid-19-free community and by merely supporting activities such as this one we already are doing our share in winning this battle against the dreaded disease”, said Lonzaga.
A wide response came from both government and private medical physicians who not only signified their participation to the five-day webinar but also manifested to apply everything they learned back in their respective hospitals.
They include Chiefs of Hospitals, Medical Officers, OB-GYN Department Heads, Nephrologists, Infection Control Officers, and others.

258 baboy at sako-sakong feeds ipinamahagi ng City Government of Kidapawan para sa mga Barangay Animal Healthcare Workers na matinding naapektuhan ng Covid-19
KIDAPAWAN CITY (March 31, 2021) – Upang matulungang makabawi ang mga Barangay Animal Healthcare Workers mula sa negatibong epekto ng Covid-19 pandemic, namahagi sa kanila ang City Government of Kidapawan ng abot sa 258 na alagang baboy at feeds sa pamamagitan ng City Veterinarian Office.
Ito ay sa ilalim ng Food Security and Economic Resiliency Plan in Relation to Covid-19 Program ng City Government na naglalayong palakasin ang produksyon ng karne at gulay sa lungsod, ayon kay City Veterinarian Dr. Eugene Gornez.
Kaugnay nito, ginanap sa Vegetable Trading Post sa Barangay Magsaysay, Kidapawan City kaninang alas-nuebe ng umaga ang distribution para sa unang batch ng recipients na abot sa 46 ang bilang at nagmula sa mga Barangay ng Indangan, Gayola, San Isidro, at Sto Nino, Dr. Gornez.
Bawat isa sa kanila ay tumanggap ng tig-siyam na baboy para sa pagsisimula ng maliit na kabuhayan o pagkakakitaan.
Maliban dito ay tumanggap din ang mga BAHW ng 286 sako ng starter feeds, 700 sako ng grower feeds, at 512 sako ng finisher feeds upang hindi na problemahin pa ng mga benepisyaryo ang pagkain ng mga baboy.
Mula sa 20% Development Fund ng City Government of Kidapawan ang pinambili ng mga alagang baboy at feeds.
Lumagda naman sa Memorandum of Agreement o MOA ang naturang mga BAHW kung saan naman nakapaloob ang mga alituntunin ng programa.
Kabilang dito ang wastong pag-alaga ng mga baboy upang mapakinabangan ng husto at ang pasumite nila ng mga pangalan ng iba pang front liners mula sa kanilang barangay na babahaginan nila ng tinanggap na mga baboy upang mas marami ang matulungan ng programa.
Sinaksihan ni Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista ang distribution kung saan pinasalamatan niya ang mga BAHW sa patuloy na pakikiisa at suporta sa mga programang pang-agrikultura ng City Government.
Sinabi ni Mayor Evangelista na ngayong 2021 ay pinaglaanan ng City Government ng pondong abot sa P76M ang agriculture sector sa layuning mapalakas pa ang food sufficiency at stability.
Laan ito sa mga programang angkop sa pangangailangan ng mga magsasaka at tumutulong sa produksyon ng gulay, prutas, at livestock, dagdag pa ng alkalde.
Pinasalamatan naman ni BAHW Federation President Conrado Tabanyag si Mayor Evangelista sa patuloy nitong pagsuporta sa kanilang hanay at nangakong gagawin ang lahat upangh mapalago ang natanggap na biyaya.
Samantala, sa naturang pagkakataon ay nagbigay din ng maikling orientation ang Dept of Agriculture -Special Area for Agriculture Development o DA-SAAD Goat Project Coordinator for Cotabato Province na si Charie Lyn Quinlat at pagkatapos ay namahagi ng abot sa 27 kambing para sa mga BAHW beneficiaries.

NCIP, DOT’s “Epanaw” books highlighting IP’s significant journey launched in Kidapawan City
(KIDAPAWAN CITY, March 23, 2021) – The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) in partnership with the Department of Tourism (DOT) has launched “Epanaw”, a three-coffee table book that feature and highlight the lives, rich culture and tradition, beliefs, and important festivities of the Indigenous Peoples and the Indigenous Cultural Communities in the various parts of the country.
In Kidapawan City, the launching was conducted at the Kidapawan City Hall Mega Tent at exactly 2:30 PM on Monday, March 22, 2021along with photo exhibits featuring the IPs and ICCs.
National Commission on Indigenous Peoples 12 Regional Director Jeanne Anne Moendeg- Zoilo, said that “Epanaw” a term used by many ethnographic groups in different regions means journey and is highlighted through the three books particularly the long travel of the ethnic tribes and cultures in many years and the challenges besetting them up to the present.
Moreover, “Epanaw” is created to make the people understand deeper the culture of IP as they go along and exist from one generation to another that is considered to be a milestone for the IPs.
The three books of “Epanaw” consist of “Pagkilala”, the first volume; where the objective is let the people learn and appreciate the lives of the IPs and their ancestral lands where they all came from. The second volume is “Paggalang”, where the objective is that after people learn about the lives of Ips, there will be a sense of respect for every ritual, festival, culture and tradition, as well as the customary system of the tribes. The third volume is called “Pagtataguyod” which indulges appreciation and support to the places that are considered as tourist attractions and destinations. In this third and last volume of “Epanaw”, the community is highly encouraged to be part of the development of these places and also its preservation all for the well-being of the IP communities.
Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista expressed gladness towards the NCIP-DOT project and said that as a strong partner, the City Government is very enthusiastic to be a part of this endeavor which does not only promotes the rich culture and tradition of but also paves the way for utmost respect towards the IPs.
“The City Government of Kidapawan is one in promoting and preserving the vast culture and tradition of the IP and in doing so we embrace the framework of the “Epanaw” which will strengthen our ties and relations with IP communities.

City Government of Kidapawan brings home two distressed OFW’s from KSA
KIDAPAWAN CITY (March 16, 2021) – The Covid-19 pandemic and the global lockdown and economic slowdown it caused has affected so many people around the world. This negative situation is experienced by different nationalities including many Filipinos working abroad.
Two OFWs from Kidapawan City – Nelba Desabille and Daylin Havana were not exempted from this circumstance and had experienced different problems abroad during the pandemic. Worried, their families sought the help of the City Government so that they can communicate with the two and to possibly find ways bring them back home in the city.
Desabille, a resident of Barangay Sibawan suffered a stroke while working in Riyadh last year. She was taken to hospital by her employer who happens to be a doctor and shouldered her hospitalization expenses.
The main problem of Desabille’s family is they do not have any communication with her and would like to know how was she doing after her stroke.
On the other hand, Havana, a resident of Barangay Mateo was much affected by the pandemic as she was not receiving any salary for 6 months when the pandemic occurred. She was transferred by her employer to work for a family in Jeddah but things were still uncertain for her.
Upon learning their situation, Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista responded and immediately tasked Aida Labina, Focal Person on OFW concerns to look for ways to contact the two Kidapawenos through their agencies and employers as well.
Labina then facilitated the communication with the help of other concerned government agencies including the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and was able to get in touch with the employers and eventually with Desabille and Daylin.
The two has arrived in Kidapawan City and were finally reunited with their respective families, Havana on March 3, 2021 and Desabille on March 10, 2021.
During their visit to the office of Mayor Evangelista, Desabille and Havana both thanked the mayor for responding immediately to their problems and exhausted all means to bring them back home.
“Daku akong pasalamat kang Mayor Evangelista sa iyahang paspas nga aksyon ug tabang para makauli ko ug tarong. Salamat pud kang mam Labina sa paningkamot nga makontak ako sa akuang pamilya”, said Desabille.
She added that the mayor has already helped her even before she left to work as a household helper in KSA and was very grateful to all the efforts extended to her adding that even her employer was impressed by the action of Mayor Evangelista to help her.
For her part, Havana said she needed to work abroad to support her special child and to be able to meet both ends while working also as household helper.
“Una sa tanan nagapasalamat ako sa Diyos na nakauli ako nga buhi ug kang Mayor Evangelista sa iyahang paspas nga aksyon nga maka-communicate ako sa akuang mga mahal sa kinabuhi ug naka uli dyud ako sa akong pamilya diri sa dakbayan.”
She further said that things became very difficult especially during the lockdowns as she was not receiving any salary for six months and now that she is back at home, she can only express how grateful she was to the City Government.

Kidapawan City Day Care Workers receive DSWD Level 1 Accreditation
Some 40 Day Care Workers (DCW) of Kidapawan City have been given Level 1 Accreditation by the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office (DWSD) 12. The DCW’s received the endorsement in a simple ceremony held recently at the Mega Tent fronting the City Hall where each of them was given certification signed by DWSD 12 Regional Director Cesario Joel Espejo. Representatives from DWSD12 and City SWD office led the distribution of certificates to the recipients. The DCW’s in return showed their appreciation as they are now equipped with the highly regarded accreditation. This is the result of passing the assessment and evaluation of the DSWD Early Childhood Care and Development Center-Based Programs conducted by the agency’s set of evaluators. No less than Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista gave a message to the DCW’s and recognized their great contributions in nurturing young children and molding them to become good citizens. “Our Day Care Workers ensure the proper growth and development of our children by teaching them both academically and socially and the important values imparted to the young ones”, said Mayor Evangelista. He attributed the accreditation given to the DCW’s to their dedication and commitment to serve the community particularly in taking care of the children and ensuring a better life for them. The accreditations of the said DCW’s is for three years and vouch their capacity in areas such as advancement of children’s growth and development, partnership with families and communities as well as Local Government Unit, among others. The City Government of Kidapawan in years, has allotted sufficient funds for education ranging from construction of classroom buildings, provision of learning materials, health and nutrition, and other developmental programs for children. It has also actively and efficiently partnered with various government agencies in implementing projects for education and academe development. Mayor Evangelista has, for a long time, also prioritized education plans and programs for teachers or educators and is very much grateful to the education sector for the strong partnership and ties with his administration. AstraZeneca vaccine rolls out successfully in Kidapawan City
At least six Covid-19 referral hospitals in Kidapawan City have started the vaccination roll out of AstraZeneca vaccines today, March 16, 2021.
This is the second roll out of vaccines for Covid-19 following the highly successful inoculation using Sinovac vaccine for front liners from Kidapawan City Hospital and three other referral hospital namely M’lang District Hospital in M’lang, Aniceto Pesante Hospital in Midsayap and Mindanao Doctor’s Hospital and Cancer Center, Inc. in Kabacan last March 8-10, 2021.
Just like Sinovac, the AstraZeneca vaccines form part of the total vaccines allotted for various hospitals in Kidapawan City and other municipalities in the Province of Cotabato. A total of 4,910 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines arrived in Cotabato yesterday, March 15, 2021 and were distributed to more than 40 hospitals in the province according to the Cotabato Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for Covid-19.
In Kidapawan City, the recipients of first doses of AstraZeneca include the Kidapawan Medical Specialist Center (KMSCI) 465, Kidapawan Doctors Hospital, Inc. (KDHI) 328, Madonna General Hospital (MGH) 155, United Doctors Hospital (21) and Midway Hospital. The Cotabato Provincial Hospital (CPH), the province’s biggest public hospital also received 330 doses of vaccines for its medical and health front liners; and many other hospitals catering to or accepting Covid-19 patients.
Among the recipients of AstraZeneca vaccine is Dr. Maximino Pacifico of United Doctor’s Hospital who is 77 years old. Having a long span of medical service and one of the only first few senior citizens inoculated, he said he didn’t feel any side effects after being vaccinated by AstraZeneca. “I was very eager to receive the vaccine because this is the only way to stop the spread of Covid-19 and to save our families and the entire community”, Dr. Pacifico said.
Dr. Pacifico belonged to the first batch of vaccinees from United Doctor’s Hospital catered for AstraZeneca vaccination in Notre Dame of Kidapawan College (NDKC) in the morning.
Both Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines continue to gain high acceptance rating from front liners.
Kiven Pacifico, a medical front liner for 20 years was also very eager to receive the vaccine saying it would save the lives of millions of people. He said he was a little bit worried when he arrived at the vaccination site thinking of the possible side effects but it was gone after the inoculation. “I am encouraging our front liners to get vaccinated and help stop Covid-19.” Pacifico said. “The vaccines are safe and I am appealing to everybody to do the same and get vaccinated with the available vaccines”, he added.
Juliet Tabanao, who is relatively new as a front liner working for only eight months said she was having second thoughts on vaccination but eventually decided to get vaccinated as it is the best way to get protection against the dreaded disease. “As I entered the vaccination area all my fears are gone. It was replaced with hope that everything will be alright and indeed, it went well.” said Juliet.
She even had her pictures taken along with other front liners after vaccination and after the post vaccination procedures.
Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista visited the vaccination site and was delighted to see the line up medical and health front liners getting ready for inoculation.
“This is another historic day for Kidapawan City as we conduct the roll out of AstraZeneca among our front liners. The City Government of Kidapawan will do everything it can from coordination to various support just to make the vaccination completely successful”, said Mayor Evangelista
He reiterated that both Sinovac and AstraZeneca are good and safe vaccines with relatively decent efficacy rates and that having vaccinated is the only way to stop the spread of Covid-19 apart from the minimum health protocols prescribed by the health department.
Meanwhile, some 60 front liners received AstraZeneca vaccine during the first day of inoculation and the activity is expected to be finished in three days. The second doses of AstraZeneca is already in store and will be delivered in due time following the schedule of inoculation, according to the Department of Health (DOH) 12. (CIO-AJPME/JSCJ)
City Government of Kidapawan launches “Magpuyo sa Balay, Mananom og Gulay 2.0”
KIDAPAWAN CITY (March 10, 2021) – The City Government of Kidapawan through the Office of the City Agriculturist is launching the “Magpuyo sa Balay, Mananom og Gulay 2.0”, a contest that aims to encourage backyard gardening among the residents of the 40 barangays of the city amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
City Agriculturist Marissa T. Aton was tasked by City Mayor Joseph Evangelista to spearhead the month-long contest (March 10 – April 10, 2021) that will also support and promote food sufficiency in the city by planting variety of vegetables.
Mayor Evangelista at the start of Covid-19 pandemic last year formulated proactive measures to address the problems that will possibly be confronted by the city such as less mobility and less production due to lockdowns and other concerns that affects food production.
“We are launching anew the contest amid the Covid-19 pandemic in order to increase food production and food sufficiency and for families to be productive even at home”, Mayor Evangelista said while highlighting the contest as part of the City Government’s various initiatives to help the agriculture sector
Last April 2020, the City Government of Kidapawan launched the same contest and received huge response from ordinary households to the level of vegetable and fruit growers in the many barangays of the city.
This year, the City Agriculturist Office again hopes to obtain a wide response from the people who alongside the City Government are exerting efforts in the campaign against Covid-19 pandemic and reduce its ill-effects in the community.
“We don’t want to let go of any opportunity especially now that the Covid-19 pandemic is still very much around and this time we will again urge the residents to be with us in this advocacy as a way to prevent food insufficiency and hunger”, said Aton as she appealed for support from every stakeholder.
The contest is open to all residents of the Kidapawan City and their entries (gardens) must be also located in the city. Participants are advised to send photos of their gardens with details such as name, address, and contact number. The participant gardener should also send a selfie with his garden as background.
A daily winner will be announced (Monday to Friday) and he or she cannot win twice in a week in order to give chance to other contestants. A weekly winner will be selected from all daily winners.
At the final or fourth week all daily winners should submit a latest picture of his or her garden showing the development in the entry garden and latest selfie having the garden as background again. Judging of the Champion of “Magpuyo sa Balay, Mananom ug Gulay 2.0” will be done by a team led by City Agriculturist Aton through personal visitation ang ocular of the entry. (CIO_AJPME/JSCJ)
Kidapawan City Government fortifies support to local farmers; launches first-ever Vegetable Trading Post
KIDAPAWAN CITY (March 2, 2021) – The Kidapawan City Government has again fortified its support to local farmers with the launching of the new and first-ever Vegetable Trading Post today March 2, 2021 in Barangay Magsaysay, Kidapawan City.
Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista tasked the City Agriculturist Office headed by Marissa T. Aton to engage with the Kidapawan City Vegetable Growers Association (KCVGA) in order to put up a trading post that will cater wholesale buyers.
“This is one way to increase the income of our vegetable growers because we let them deliver different kinds of vegetables in large quantity and to let wholesalers take advantage by buying these vegetables in volume”, said Mayor Evangelista.
Mayor Evangelista was ably represented by City Legal Officer Atty. Jose Paolo M. Evangelista who thanked the KCVGA for trusting the city government in its advocacy programs to help the agriculture sector who are still reeling with the adverse effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In his message, Atty. Evangelista highlighted three important points. First, the City Government of Kidapawan is delighted to have put up the first-ever Vegetable Trading Post; second, the sector of agriculture this year so far has the biggest budget allocation; and third; the involvement of the youth in the agriculture sector is something to be emulated.
“This is the fruit of the effective partnership of the City Agriculturist Office and the local vegetable growers. So far, the City Government this year allotted the biggest budget to agriculture in order to boost local food production in the city; The City Government believes that by ensuring food production and livelihood the people can also attain self-sufficiency. It’s just a matter of bridging support to them in terms of training and capacity building to finally bring out their potentials.
Joel T. Rivera, Sales Marketing and Development Manager of PITAC-Multi-Purpose Cooperative as partner-stakeholder gave a message during the program where he encouraged the vegetable growers to be more enthusiastic and seize every opportunity that will boost their production. “The establishment of the Vegetable Training Post is a big opportunity especially to members of the KCVGA whose produce can now have bigger market”, he said.
In response, Justin Deo C. Javier, President of KCVGA urged all members of the organization to continue their endeavor to increase the supply of vegetable as they already have a place to deliver their harvests. “I want to express my gratitude to the City Government of Kidapawan for engaging our organization in this notable project and to my fellow growers let’s just go and aim higher production as we do not have to worry anymore on where to sell our products” said Javier as he looks forward for more projects with the City Government.
After the launching program the traders started to buy a wide variety of vegetables such as eggplant, radish, pechay, ampalaya, squash, tomatoes, cauliflowers, ube, and many others.
The Vegetable Trading Post will operate every Tuesdays and Saturdays 7AM to 5PM with minimum health protocols to be observed such as wearing of face masks, face shield, among others. (AJPME/jscj)
Kidapawan City Agriculture and Fisheries Council awarded the Best Performing
CAFC for 2020
KIDAPAWAN CITY (March 1, 2021) – The Department of Agriculture (DA) – 12
recognized the Agriculture and Fisheries Council of Kidapawan City as the best
performing City Agriculture and Fisheries Council (CAFC) in Region 12 for the year
2020
DA 12 Regional Executive Director Arlan Mangelen led the distribution of the Plaque of
Appreciation to the awardees during the recent culmination program of the 6 th National
Agriculture and Fisheries Volunteers’ Day held in Koronadal City where City Agriculturist
Office sent delegates.
Several criteria served as the basis for selecting the best CAFC which include the
number of consultations conducted in the area, number of monitoring conducted to
agriculture and fishery projects, and the number of local issues raised and resolved by
the CAFC through the resolutions approved by the body.
During the initial and up to the final selection process, the CAFC of Kidapawan topped
other CAFCs based in Tacurong City, Koronadal City, and General Santos City.
City Agriculturist Marissa T. Aton said the search for Best Performing CAFC will help
motivate the CAFC and other stakeholders to perform better and institutionalize its best
practices in the community.
“Our CAFC and volunteers have been doing their best to uplift the agriculture and
fisheries sector by being committed and dedicated in performing its tasks and help small
farmers cope up with these challenging times”, said Aton as she expressed high
optimism for more fruitful years for CAFC.
She also emphasized the continuous efforts of the City Government of Kidpawanunder
the administration of Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista in helping the farmers cope up with
the adverse effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and other challenges confronting the
agriculture sector.
The Search for the Best Performing City Agriculture and Fisheries Council Award is an
annual undertaking of the DA – ATI12 which aims to give due recognition and honor to
dedicated individuals, volunteers, and institutions and have shown exemplary

“AI sa Barangay” project can help boost supply of pork – City Vet
Kidapawan City (March 1, 2021) – The Artificial Insemination (AI) project recently
launched in Barangay Kalaisan, Kidapawan City can pave the way for hog raisers to
have superior breed of pigs and increase production of pork meat.
City Veterinarian II Dr. Ellaine Mahusay, during the launching held at Multiplier Farm,
Barangay Kalaisan highlighted the significance of AI among the many hog raisers and
piggeries in the city which can be a defining factor in recovering from the ill-effects of
the Covid-19 pandemic which has severely affected hog raisers not only in the city but
other places as well.
“Piglets attain better genetics through Artificial Insemination, less chance of being
injured as they grow and acquire other numerous benefits by performing the process to
mature female pigs and sow.” said Dr. Mahusay at the same time informing hog raisers
of the upcoming AI in other villages.
The launching was done with the opening of a new pig pen with some 10 sows given AI
with the presence of Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Training Institute12 (DA-
ATI) Center Director Abdul I. Daya-an, City Veterinarian Dr. Eugene Gornez, Kicapawan
City Councilor Engr. Peter Salac (Chairperson-SP Kid Committee on Agriculture),
Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Rufino Sorupia and stakeholders in the barangay.
For his part, Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph A. Evangelista said the effective
implementation of programs and projects for farmers badly affected by the pandemic
and African Swine Fever (ASF) is definitely what the agriculture sector needs.
“We bring the service closer to the people especially to the small farmers who have
basically nothing to rely on in these trying times” the mayor said as he thanked the DA-
ATI 12 for the partnership”,
After Barangay Kalaisan, interested and qualified hog raisers from other villages will be
visited by the City Vet for the insemination process. With this process, hog owners will
not be burdened by bringing their sows to the City Vet but only have to wait for the
personnel to come and perform the insemination.
On the other hand, Daya-an explained that the DA will continue to partner with the City
Government in terms of uplifting the status of the farmers and providing sustainable
development in agriculture.
“In this particular program, we are looking into the measures to help our farmers
particularly hog raisers to maximize their productions and consequently to address the
low supply of pork meat in the market” Daya-an said.
He also added that the “AI sa Barangay” resulted from joint efforts and collaboration of
the City Government of Kidapawan and the DA which has already implemented many
projects benefiting the farmers’ sector.
With this development, the City Agriculturist Office is looking forward for hog raisers to
achieve maximum production and potential with the help of intervention projects such as
the one held in Barangay Kalaisan and soon in other areas within the city.
Conceptualizing on the full potential and better production of hog raisers in Kidapawan
City and to stabilize the supply of pork meat in the public market, the City Government
looks forward for the eventual success of “AI sa Barangay”. (CIO_AJPME/jscj)
