September 16, 2023 — The RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD), a Non-Government Organization, has recently announced the result of their nationwide evaluation called, the “Top Performing City Mayors and District Representatives in the Philippines”, for the second quarter of the year.

Based on the foundation’s poll, that was done on June 25 to July 5, 2023, Kidapawan City Mayor Atty Jose Paolo M. Evangelista got the 5th rank with 85.75% as proficient City Mayors in the country who have showcased outstanding leadership. Mayor Pao is the only City Mayor in Region XII, who was recognized as such.

The foundation surveyed 10,000 randomly selected registered voters across diverse districts, achieving a ยฑ1% margin of error at a 95% confidence level, reflecting official voting demographic profiles and ensuring data accuracy.

The Department of Tourism DOT12 Regional Director Nelia R. Arina together with Engr. Armin Hautea, the departmentโ€™s former Regional Director had a courtesy visit with the City Mayor Atty. Jose Paolo M. Evangelista yesterday, May 22, 2023.

The said visit aims to share the upcoming plans and activities of the region for an unceasing improvement and development of the industry which is sought to help boost the regionโ€™s economy and offer more job opportunities.

Kidapawan Cityโ€™s participation to Treasures of SOX Expo and the DOTโ€™s new banner project launching โ€œBisita Be My Guestโ€ were the highlighted upcoming activities.

City Mayor Evangelista also invited the DOT 12 officials to come again to Kidapawan City for the upcoming Tilapia Festival and Kasadya sa Timpupo this coming August. KIDAPAWAN CITY – (May 6, 2023) The City Government here has awarded cash incentives and certificates of recognition to elementary and secondary athletes who won medals during the  SOCCSKSARGEN Regional Athletic Meet.

This is in recognition and appreciation for the athletes who won during the events of the SRAA the City of Kidapawan successfully hosted recently.

Gold medallist received P5,000 cash incentive each while those who won silver and bronze were awarded with P3,000 and P1,000 respectively. 

City Mayor Atty. Jose Paolo Evangelista along with DepEd City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Natividad Ocon CESO VI, City Councilors Judith Navara, Morgan Melodias, Mike Ablang, Jason Roy Sibug, Cenn Teena Taynan, Atty. Francis Palmones Jr and Cotabato Vice Governor Efren Piลˆol who represented Governor Emmylou Taliลˆo – Mendoza, conferred the awards to winning athletes of the Kidapawan City delegation.

Winning coaches were also given certificates of recognition during the ceremony held at the city gymnasium on Saturday morning, May 6, 2023.

Mayor Evangelista assured his sustainable support, recognition and giving of incentives to athletes and coaches representing  Kidapawan City in all sporting events.

Related to this, the Mayor is grateful to all who contributed for the organized, orderly, peaceful and successful conduct of the SRAA meet.

โ€œ This SRAA meet will forever be remembered in the annals of SOCCSKSARGEN history as the best ever organized . This will not be taken away from usโ€, Mayor Evangelista  proudly said.

Especially mentioned was the warm hospitality and provision of the hygiene kits, unlimited water supply, and security for all athletes and delegates in their billeting quarters and playing venues in the different parts of the city during the week-long meet.

Kidapawan City won a total of 32 gold, 31 silver and 56 bronze medals and placed 5th overall in the 2023 SRAA Regional Athletic Meet.##(CMO)

The SOCCSKSARGEN Regional Athletic Association (SRAA) Meet has been officially opened yesterday (April 24, 2023)!

To show our warm welcome and support to every delegate, the City Government of Kidapawan offers a free transportation service to the different Tourism Sites in the city which is dubbed as โ€œSakay-Sakay Kidapawanโ€ โ€“ a Hop-in, Hop-off tour wherein allotted bus & van vehicles follow certain routes and schedule.

Delegates are free to choose between two (2) itineraries โ€“ brown line & green line โ€“ and are given free boarding passes to which they will present to the tourism personnel/ focal person assigned in each destination. Each Division has its own focal person for the distribution of passes. Thus, ALL ENTRANCE FEES, MEALS, AND OTHER EXPENSES SHALL BE PAID BY THE PASSENGER ONSITE.

The said activity will run on April 27 to 29 (Thursday to Saturday). For the Itinerary and other details, please refer to the photos posted.

KIDAPAWAN CITY – (April 20, 2023) LOCAL OFFICIALS OF THE CITY Government of Kidapawan lead the ground breaking of three infrastructure, health and environmental protection projects in the city.

These projects are aimed to give better road access to the public, improved the operations of the City Government, provide better health services for the people and promote environmental protection in line with the Luntian Kidapawan concept of governance being implemented at present.

โ€œThis is where the taxes paid by the people to the City Government goโ€, remarked City Mayor Atty. Jose Paolo Evangelista who led the city officials in the ground breaking and laying of time capsules on three separate projects today, April 20, 2023.

First of these undertakings was the Road Concreting and Construction of Slope Protection and Installation of Pipe Culverts that is located along Maglan Road that will link the villages of Magsaysay and Lanao.

Mayor Evangelista in a message, said that the road concreting project aside from providing better access to its residents and motorists traversing the said barangays, will help spur economic growth for both barangays of Magsaysay and Lanao.

This project will also help prevent flooding in times of rain and will be installed with streetlights later on to maintain peace and order in the community.

Magsaysay Village Chair Julio Labinghisa and Lanao Chair Arberto Canonoy thanked the Mayor and the City Government for fulfilling the said projects that will greatly help their constituents.

Soon after, a Proposed Construction of a Multi -Purpose Building in Eco Park in Barangay Magsaysay commenced.

The project will be utilized by the General Services Office as storage and depository facility for equipment and supplies used by the City Government in its daily operation in extending services to the public.

This project is part of the development of the Magsaysay Eco Park that will house several government buildings and facilities in the future, Mayor Evangelista revealed.

Lastly, the City Government officials and local health authorities laid the time capsule in the ground breaking ceremony for the Construction of the Waste Water Treatment Facility of the Covid19 Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility or TTMF and Bio-Molecular Laboratory located in Duhat Drive, Barangay Poblacion.

Dr, Thadeus Averilla, MD, Chief of City Hospital emphasized the need to carry out the said project not only to provide better health services for patients admitted in the City Government operated health facility, but also to ensure the prevention of the spread of diseases from the area to the nearby communities.

This follows the directive of being Environmental Compliant Certified by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources or DENR as waste water coming from the facility will be treated and curb contamination of drinking water for the residents living nearby, Dr. Averilla explained.

Joining Mayor Evangelista in the ground breaking ceremony and laying of time capsules were City Councilors Judith Navarra, Jason Roy Sibug, Carlo Agamon, Galen Ray Lonzaga, Mike Ablang, Airene Claire Pagal, Liga ng Barangay President Morgan Melodias, barangay officials of Magsaysay and Lanao, health service providers from the City Health Office and the different department managers of the City Government of Kidapawan.

The said projects are expected to be completed by the third quarter of this year or 120 calendar days from the present. (CMO-CIO)

KIDAPAWAN CITY – (April 19, 2023) The City Government of Kidapawan, Metro Kidapawan Water District and the Kidapawan City Schools Division of the Department of Education conducted the final ocular inspection and water testing of the schools to be used as billeting and housing venues of all athletes and officials of the SOCCSKSARGEN Regional Athletic Meet or SRAA to be hosted by the city on April 24-28, 2023.

City Mayor Atty. Jose Paolo Evangelista led all officials in the ocular inspection of the water connection in thirteen different public schools that will serve as housing and billeting area for the delegate athletes and officials.

Joining the said officials were Atty William Angos, and Mrs. Melagrita Valdevieso, the new Chairperson and Secretary of MKWD Board of Directors (BOD) respectively, incumbent BODโ€™s Allan Pandio, Lynnie Cagape and Elisa Salac, MKWD General Manager Stella Gonzales and Assistant General Manager Engr Wilesper Lizandro Alqueza and City Tourism and Investment Promotions Officer Gillian Ray Lonzaga were also present during the activity.

The inspection team was happy to note that the water services connected in the schools are safe and well enough to be used by the delegates as they themselves tested and tasted it.

Inspected schools in the city that will house the different delegations are: Lanao Central Elementary School, Lanao National High School, Isidoro Lonzaga Memorial Elementary School, Paco Central Elementary School, Paco National High School, Kidapawan City National High School, Felipe Suerte Memorial Elementary School, Saniel Cruz National High School, Kidapawan City Pilot Elementary School, Amas Central Elementary School, Amas National High School, Mariano Mancera Integrated School, and Singao Elementary School.

The said schools will be utilized by the host delegation of Kidapawan City, General Santos City, South Cotabato, Koronadal City, Sultan Kudarat, Tacurong City and Sarangani as well as all technical officials who will officiate the games.

Cotabato Province delegation meanwhile, will be billeted and housed separately in Magpet National High School.

In relation to the above mentioned development, the City Government has finally drawn it security and traffic route plan in place for the entire period of the SRAA meet.

KIDAPAWAN CITY (Marso 28, 2023) โ€“ BINUKSAN na ngayong araw na ito ng Martes, March 28, 2023 ang Cotabato Integrated Farm Training Center, Inc. na matatagpuan sa Purok Guyabano, KM 116 Paco, Kidapawan City at siyang pinakabagong Learning Site for Agriculture (Level 1).

Dumalo sa simpleng Opening Ceremony and Unveiling of Signage ng Cotabato Integrated Farm Training Center, Inc. ang ilang mga heads at representatives ng ibaโ€™t-ibang ahensiya na kinabibilangan nina Engr. Franklin Beltran (TESDA), Jose Cabulanan (Dept of Tourism), Ruel Villanueva (OPAG), City Agriculturist Marissa Aton, Punong Barangay Edgarlito Elardom mga personnel mula sa DA-ATI12 at iba pang mga bisita.

Naitatag ang CIFCTI matapos na irekomenda ito ng City Government of Kidapawan sa pamamagitan ni City Mayor Atty Jose Paolo Evangelista upang mabigyan ng accreditation bilang learning site (Level 1) at makapasa sa mga requirements na itinakda ng DA-ATI12 tulad ng orientation of the prospective LSA, accomplishment of the farm profile form, field validation/ocular inspection, LSA development plan, at iba pa.

Sa pamamagitan ng CIFTCI ay magkakaroon ng pagkakataon ang magsasaka kabilang ang mga young farmers na mabigyan ng sapat na training sa mga makabagong pamamaraan ng agrikultura sa tulong ng mga nabanggit na ahensiya ng pamahalaan.
Kabilang dito ang agricultural technologies, doable farming strategies, emulation, at iba pa.

Nakapaloob din sa mga pakinabang bilang learning site for agriculture (Level 1) ang mga sumusunod โ€“ practicum area, venue for practical and hands-on training, visitation area, On-the-Job Training (OJT) site for ATI scholars and other interested students/individuals.

Ang CIFTCI na ang pang-apat na Learning Site for Agriculture sa Kidapawan City. Ang tatlong iba pa ay kinabibilangan ng La Villa Aqua Farm (Brgy Manongol), Dr. Alfred Essentials (Brgy Birada) at Heavens Bounty Farm (Binoligan).

Ginawaran naman ng Certificate of Learning Site for Agriculture mula sa DA-ATI12 si Engr. Jimmy Fontanilla, may-ari ng CIFTCI na nagpapatunay na may angkop na kakayahan ang kanyang pasilidad para sa pagpapaunlad ng kaalaman, produksiyon, at kita ng mga magsasaka o iba pang indibidwal o grupo mula sa sektor ng agrikultura.

Nagtapos ang programa sa pamamagitan ng unveiling of signage ng CIFTCI na sinaksihan ng mga nabanggit na heads at representatives, barangay officials, farmers, at iba pa.
